Laurie is an experienced Certified Public Accountant with 25+ years in auditing, finance and accounting which includes 18 years as a Chief Financial Officer and a broad managerial role with a private commercial lending company, where she remains a Limited Partner. Further, she has her California broker’s license and 10+ years of notary experience. She received her BS in accounting from Northern Arizona University and graduated magna cum laude. In addition, she has owned and managed several of her own investment properties including short-term vacation rentals in Southern California. Also, she has been a small business owner and has a strong entrepreneurial spirit. She is a mom of 2 and currently resides in Arizona. Despite all her experience, she is certain that being a mom is the hardest job she will ever love.
Shauna, CPA, CTC
Shauna has over 25 years of experience in the public and accounting industry with a primary focus in the healthcare industry, insurance, senior housing, and non-profit sectors. She started her accounting career by obtaining her bachelor’s degree, and after a few years decided to pursue her CPA license to further her career. After working as an assistant director of finance for a company in Louisville, she decided to use her vast knowledge and experience to run her own accounting practice. She owned and operated her own practice for 7 years where she managed a team of bookkeepers that helped her support her clients.
Lauren, CPA
Lauren is an accomplished CPA with over 8 years of experience in accounting and tax, specializing in medical practices, legal services, and real estate investments. She has successfully guided startups to significant growth, including one reaching a $100 million valuation. Lauren started out working as a Tax Intern, and through hard work, diligence, and determination moved up in ranks to become a Tax Senior, developing an expertise in tax preparation and client relations. While working as a Tax Intern, Lauren worked on increasing her mastery and knowledge by obtaining her master’s in the science of accounting in December of 2013. Lauren is a proud fifth-generation Houstonian who started her firm as a mother of twins under the age of 1, balancing her professional life with active community involvement and family.
Nissa, CPA, CTC
Nissa is a CPA with over 6 years of experience in public accounting and tax. Nissa comes from a background in medical private practice, medical groups, attorneys and real estate investment industries. Before becoming an accountant, Nissa was a professional mariner on vessels sailing in many regions of the world; she is conversationally fluent in German. Nissa has advanced quickly in her roles due to her useful ability to combine detailed diligence with big-picture awareness. A mom to 2 boys, Nissa lives and adventures in Alaska.

Lori is an experienced CPA with 20+ years in the finance and accounting industry and has extensive experience in the construction, real estate investing, and property management industries. Recognized as a top performer, Lori is consistently given increased responsibility in positions such as Controller, Director of Finance and CFO for her clients. Lori is a mom of three residing in Tennessee. Lori is also a Certified Tax Coach with a passion for saving her clients money so that they can invest in their families and businesses.
Aubrey, CPA
Aubrey is a CPA with over 20 years of experience in public accounting, primarily in real estate, non-profit, and high net-worth individuals. Aubrey has worked with clients on numerous tax planning and consulting projects. She is determined, caring, and truly enjoys educating her clients to help them be successful. When she’s not spending her free time with her family, she likes to volunteer or work out to train for the next Spartan Race. Aubrey is a mom of two and lives in Texas.

She began her career in the tax department where she developed her skills in preparing federal and state tax returns and managing various tax projects. After leaving this role to start a family, she worked seasonally for a local tax firm for several years, gaining further expertise in tax planning and preparation, before returning to full-time work. In 2019, Katie took on the role of Tax/Staff Accountant, where she managed monthly financial transactions, reconciled accounts, and prepared detailed tax returns. By 2020, she transitioned to working as an Independent Contractor, focusing on QuickBooks Online setup, tax projections, and client consulting. Today, Katie leverages her extensive background to assist small businesses with financial management and tax optimization.
Jessica, CPA
Jessica is a CPA with 14 years of experience in finance and accounting. Her roles as an Auditor, Senior Financial Analyst, and Enterprise Fund Accountant have helped Jessica develop a passion for assisting clients in achieving their financial goals. By building strong relationships, she tailors practical solutions to meet their financial needs. Her career spans a variety of sectors, including healthcare, real estate, construction, nonprofit, and government, showcasing her adaptability and expertise. Jessica also has experience handling complex financial reporting, investment analysis, and oversight of multiple enterprise funds. She holds an Associate of Arts in Business, a Bachelor of Accounting, and a Master’s in Accounting, which she earned in 2021. Jessica has not only worked diligently to become a strong accountant, but as a mother of 2, has learned and developed a strong desire for work/life balance so she is able to enjoy spending time with her family.
